First run.
so did my first run on the T500 ,stripped 2 x kale washes using the alembic dome collected down to 30% using new parrot....
watered total collected down to 30% ended up with 4 gallon approx.
ran the T500 at 51-52c controlled with he still spirits water regulator with the 4 gallon for about 5 hours total maybe a bit longer from cold. was just a fast drip at the end. collected in 200ml jars after chucking 100ml away to start.collected about 5 litres total.
now i can definitely detect the nasty smelling heads for about the first 1.4 litres, what im struggling with is where do the tails start i cannot smell any difference except for maybe the last 200-300 ml.
oh forgot to add i did add about 1.5 litres of heads collected from the airstill to one of the washes before stripping.
oh i have got a power controller but as it was my first run wanted to get to know it a bit before experimenting with the power.
any advice more than welcome ,seems quite a bit different to using the little airstill.

Hi ninja_geezer
By my reckoning, if you started with about 20 litres at 30% in your boiler.
Then you had, in theory at least, 6 litres of 100% alcohol to collect, and from that 6 litres I would expect about half of it to be hearts, I find the first 30% is fores+heads (1.8 litres in your case), then 50% of the total as hearts (3 litres in your case), and the last 20% tails, most of which will still be in your boiler at the end.
So if you’ve collected 5 litres from the run, that sound about right to me, this the fun part now, making your cuts, of course, air, dilute and taste your jars, the hardest is the heads to hearts cut, ill stick my neck out and say your hearts from jar 11 until 27 maybe a couple more, al depends how well the tails held back during the run.

ok thanks i was not far out on the heads then ,i will smell and taste the jars later tonight .i did read somewhere that the T500 column stops a lot of the tails if this is correct then it rings true what you said about most of the tails still being held back in the boiler/column.
