This is my first post so go easy with me.
I have an Ace micro brewery boiler for which i need a seal for around the top for the new lid to fit too, i have a silicone pressure cooker seal but it is a bit too large on the outer diameter. My plan is to cut it and remove about 10-15mm and rejoin the seal with adhesive or glue. Having read about the nasties in different things could anyone recommend a glue or adhesive to me.

The set up so far is as follows
T500
New lid made from a stainless steel bowl with hole cut for T500

I,m hoping to start the first ferment later this week

I haven’t got an answer for your question but interested that you’ve found a bowl the right size for the T500? Where from? I want one too

Welcome aboard btw

This is the one , i purchased the 28cms one, i drilled ,cut a 58mm (i think) hole in the bottom for the T500 to fit too and this fits perfect on my boiler without the seal. The only problem is that if i fit the seal to the lid it catches the lifting handles on the boiler but if the seal was a bit shorter it would allow it to fit on top of the boiler not the new lid. This would make it a much better job.

You beat me too it Myles. I will just add - those bowls are VERY thin be careful it will support the weight you are putting on it? (and they are a pig to weld)

HA6 is a superb sealant/adhesive/gasketing material.
Allow it a minimum 24 hours to dry/cure.
And all should be good.
