Don't buy a pint in Sydney Airport

We're away in Australia for a family wedding & Christmas, we arrive at Sydney airport last Friday to be told that there would be a 4 hour delay on our internal flight. >:( So off to the nearest bar for a pint seemed like a good idea, NO it was not.....a pint of ice cold “cat piss & pepper” (as our old dad would say) for me & a vodka & coke for the better half. The cost ??? ...hope your sat down....22 dollars, that's £12:71 in real money.
Ok you can expect that at any airport, but it's not much better when you go to a bar where we're staying, a beer (that's a laugh) and V& coke are still around £9/£10.

I found a micro brewery about 2 miles from where we are, so we went around there yesterday. They brew real ale...yaaa...but are not allowed to sell it over the counter booo. You have to order a brew, minimum 50 liters, they brew it, keg it and you collect it, it's all down to the laws of the land. As we're only here for a month it didn't seem that good an idea, I could see me dragging 2 kegs back through Heathrow customs, “hello hello hello, what you got there sunny Jim” so at the mo I'm sat by the pool with a bottle of Corona Extra in my hand....any chance one of you guys could post me a survival box of real ales over.

Cheers ;D

If you can find a way to help England retain the ashes I'll send you more beer than you can cope with mate ;D
