Building Vino Tinto's Pothead.

Postby Icefever » Sun Mar 16, 2014 5:10 pm

I managed to make a start on building my pothead following the plan & photo of VT's build.

The BIG problem was my pipe cutter don't go big enough for a 2" pipe. So I used the disc cutter...so what...it worked out ok.
So I now have the column...all I need to do now is complete the liebig and I'm ready.

All it needs is the buffer mop and "it'll shine like the top of the Chrysler building"

Cheers Fuf..

I've had the pipe & fittings for a week or two now, I just want to get into making something with a bit more taste. The swmbo & me have had enough vodka for a while. :D :D

The build is very easy it's just a case of making sure all the joints are nice and clean before you start to solder. ;)

Taken longer than I thought but I'm almost there...I spent yesterday soaking the column and liebig in a bucket of citric acid to clean off all the crap...it's now got a bit of a shine...all it needs now is a quick polish.

I thought I'd got a 45% elbow to change the angle of the dangle in my box of bits but no...so I'll have to get one... :D

It fit's the boiler ok so all I need now is a quick vinegar run. 8) and a cleaner wash.
