Anyone good at maths??
Hi.
I still my own Vodka and get constant 40% abv. I want to give up drinking beer. So thought sugar free ginger beer is for me. My maths is quite good but this has me stumped. How do I get a 4% ginger beer??. Lets say a ltr bottle for conversion purposes.
Best Regards. Bernard.

Re: Anyone good at maths??
are you talking about mixing the vodka into ginger beer rather than fermenting ginger beer?
If so, 100ml of 40% and 900ml of pop.

Moscow mule is ginger ale and limes, surely?
Dilution calculator here will help:
http://homedistiller.org/index.php?mn=d ... te&pd=calc
To get 1 litre of 4% ginger beer, add 100ml of 40% spirit to 900ml of ginger beer. The maths is pretty simple, you can ignore the liquid volume really and just work on the percentage - you want to reduce it to 10% of the original 40% so use 10% spirit to 90% diluting solution.
Enjoy!
