Beer bottles for taking cuts?
Even tho i have been saving every glass jar i can from the recycling we dont go through much jam, or buy any ready cook sauses, so ive not got a dozen yet, So im thinking could i use my empty beer bottles to collect my cuts in ?? But would the thin neck hamper the evaporation of the unwanted volatiles that should normally disappear overnight?

I usually collect and air in the 560Ml vinegar bottles that I buy vinegar in from Lidl and Aldi, though depending on the stage of the run,the bottle may be half-full or half-empty.
I worry not about the constriction of the neck, and leave them untill I object to the space that they occupy, sometimes a few days, sometimes a week.
Beer bottles I expect, would return similar results.
Does that help?
Robert.

I use the vinegar bottles for collecting cuts, one of them cottonballs that the ladies take the war paint off with, plugs the neck for a couple of days, and i use the wilkos (OOPS) plastic toppped corks, makes for a nice short term storage, till i'm ready to blend.I actually put most of my ready to drink stuff back into them, It makes me think i'm drinking less
they are easier to store, they can be stored away at the back of a cupboard and easily forgot about, thats wishful thinking!
Cheers B_D

Mate,as you may have discovered,on this site,I am rogue and seemingly heathen.
I personally don't cover any bottles that are giving the angels a share, and if I spot a dead fly in there, come to tasting,to decide where it goes,I filter through a coffee paper or piece of K.Roll.
You have free will, follow your concience.
Don't think that I can say more.
