The finings sort of bind the yeast cells to them and therefore make them heavier and they sink to the bottom. That's why you don't stir them too hard when you put them in - if you did you'd break those chains. So, if you've done it the wrong way round it probably won't work too well (though it might, let us know!) but you certainly haven't wrecked anything - another pack of finings in the correct order would do the trick, and billmcc is correct that it will clear in time anyway, especially if cold. There are even things online about clearing with egg-white if you're feeling totally adventurous though I haven't tried them. Good luck!
