I am seriously up for making a 50 litre keg boiler
Would love to know how the Cpt'n and others use a heating element in them
Is it an exposed element inside if so which one can you get in ? Or is it an external one?
Also any tips on the top end and fixings
If anyone posted these already just point me there or any web links
Appreciate any thoughts guys

I just bought one off eBay that has an internal 4500 watt element and has drain installed on the side for 295.00. I don't know if he ships international but if you would like his number let me know. He does anything you want to them. Putterman 2004 is the seller on ebay

It's just a standard copper hot water element, with the thermostat bypassed. I have to have 10 litres remaining in the still to keep it covered.

How you going to power that? You'll need special 20 amp sockets? Or are you stateside and going to use the cooker outlet?

Is it a slimline element you put in through the aperture you made

You'll need one of these for connecting the column to the keg. What sort of keg and still have you got?.

I do have a dial thermo half way up the wall of the keg but that is not required kit on a pot still. I just put it there so I'd know when to expect product so I can turn on the water to the condenser.

Any Q's just give me a shout.
