How much loss should I expect when double & triple distill?
I'm loving my new Still Spirits Turbo 500 still - go out and buy one!
How much loss should I expect when I double and triple distill?
I will find out myself over time, but I wondered if anyone knows already?
Very many thanks

If I was running my still only in reflux mode which is what the T500 does.
First pass I would expect to cut the first 15% to get rid of the fore's and head's, I then just collect until the tails come through. I am useless at cutting the heads by taste and smell, but can pickup the tails from the other side of the shed.
For subsequent distillations I dilute to around 30% and rerun, each time I run the still with full reflux to compress any reaming heads and cut another 100ml. Then collect until any tails come through.
It may be distilling by numbers but it works for me.

Hi Brian,
That is smashing and I'll be sure to work along those lines.
A huge thank you for your time to read and reply.
