Didn\'t melt to the boiler anyway, i\'ll move it down to the base, that would make sense to seal off any moisture from entering the gubbins in the bottom.

Can one of you measure the total height of it when assembled and running please ?
Because, while getting a T500 is on the back burner for the moment (found somewhere to get copper pipe up to 267mm (got to check on connections and fittings though), so concentrating on the possibilities of a BYO project.....
But it would be handy to know the total size/height of the T500, just in case it doesn\'t work out cost effective to BYO and I just say \"F*** it\" and splash the cash.
I\'d need to know, to make sure of the operating area having water/drainage available.....
TVM

132 centimetres bottom to top.
I\'m running mine now and I\'m really really impressed with it. I\'ve got the output water sat at 53 degrees and it\'s kicking out 800ml an hour.
Not sure what % though as I managed to break my spirit hydrometer this morning. I\'ll get one ordered on monday.
I\'m splitting the output into 400ml mason jars. The first two jars have a very slight smell but the ones after that are totally odourless. I used an alcotec 48 for this wash and I\'m very very impressed.
Hopefully this week I\'ll be able to run some of the output from stripping runs as I\'ve got some waiting :)
The one fiddly bit for me was hooking up the water supply - the tap fitting I have is a lot bigger diameter than the adaptor on the needle valve - and the T500 uses 6mm pipe rather than the 8mm of the ss reflux so I had a job fitting the old tap connector to the new pipes..

Mine also has the \"rubber band\" around the joint between the black bit and the silver bit

I am wondering if the rubber thing is just some packing for the shipping to UK, we went through 6 boxed T500 boilers at the LHBS yesterday arvo and non had this.

Possibly Andy, although i notice from your photo earlier on this thread that there are a few more differences between my/UK boilers and your own/Aussie ones. Your boiler appears to have a power switch and light just round from the power cable that my boiler does not have, the only way i have of cutting the power is at the wall switch.
Just an observation.

Just had a closer look at Andy photo of T500 on 1st page of this thread

mine seems to be the same as yours & yours also looks like it has the rubber band

(seal) around it.

also noticed that it just fits under your ceiling, makes me feel so lucky to have

12 foot ceilings in my house :)

I was so lucky, I didnt measure or anything but it clears by half an inch :)

There is no rubber band, nor has there ever been one and yes I have the illuminated on/off switch.

So it seems the boilers are indeed different from country to country.

Edit to add: Simmo\'s neighbor bought the T500 and it didnt fit (too tall) Thats how Simmo got his, they share LOL
