de-gassing

hi...i de-gas my sugar wash with a stick blender and i get a brilliant almost instant de-gassed wash.

whats your thoughts as some say not to use a stick blender and just use a paddle and others say use the blender as its one of the best ways to de-gas sugar wash prior to adding finings..

I degas mine with a stick blender it seems to work fine
i degas for about 5min then do it again about an hour later before adding my turboklar

Chat on another topic reminded me of this - after a good stir I now drop a ceramic aquarium air stone in and blast the wash with air for 5 mins.
Do the same again the next day - you can smell the CO2 being pushed out of suspension - seems to work well.

It "seems" to aid clearing, but it has been a bit cooler recently - so will need to see longer term if I continue to see the reduced clearing time.

BTW - I use an oiless pump through a filter.
