i did my ferment in a glass demijohn, lid was plastic but wasn't in contact with the mead.

I just racked the mead into another demijohn because some settlement in the bottom had formed.

I might just try and back sweeten then bottle this stuff into wine bottles and let it age out a bit more. cost a good penny for such a little amount of mead to give up on it yet.
