Members seem to be signing up to the friendly place in the last week or so,forgive me for not welcoming you all individually.
I do hope that you all gain something from being here, even better would be if you find something to share,in the truest meaning of a forum, this one is certainly a place to share knowledge.

Evening all

Neil here from the South West of the UK.

I was asking questions on another brewing forum and was kindly directed over here by a fellow member.

I have owned an air still for just over a couple of years now and only used it a handful of times. The main reason for lack of use is now obvious, I'm not doing it properly. I always ended up with a final product that didn't taste clean, and after a few attempts I gave up and stuck the still away in the cupboard where it has stayed for the last couple of years.

I hope to learn lots while I'm here and will start by reading some of the great info that has already been posted.

Look forward to chatting with you all soon.

Cheers

Neil.

Welcome aboard SB. Don't worry, we'll get you up and running in no time. We're a friendly lot for the most part and you'll always find someone here ready to answer any questions you come across.

Here's a good start point viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3436 open the Airstill Brief and you'll get all you need to produce a great neutral spirit with the Airstill and it's all downhill after that.

Best of Luck

Thanks for the welcome.

BB, how ya doing mate. Had some great advice from you over on the other forum before it was taken over. I was 'aneray' over there and I think it might have been you that gave me a recipe for a two can stout.

Haven't brewed in a couple of years and now want to use the air still properly after recently finding out that I'm doing it all wrong.

Spirits4BB,that was indeed a good welcome to tomerus.
I have only just spotted this, and as his last post was 5 months ago,I hope that he has not given up on us and migrated.
Maybe he simply feels that he has assimilated enough.in which case I wish him well.
