This is a prestige brand flavouring and comes out quite sweet (think it recommends sugar as well as the flavouring).

Anyway, a friend tried it and then played about and came to the conclusion that it's best drunk with cream soda. So a cherimoya/custard fruit flavour vodka with cream soda is really a bit of a "girlies" drink. But it's very easy to drink and fall over with

So, I sent off for a cherimoya flavour jelly shots kit yesterday, as it will probably make rather nice vodka jellies.... ha! I can't wait, as each kit makes at least 25 jelly shots (which would be just over 1 standard shot of vodka with each jelly)

The "kit" is a bottle of flavouring, some packs of gelatine powder, plastic pots/lids and instructions. It was very easy to do, but only actually uses half a bottle of spirit to a full bottle of the flavour (20mls).

I'd guess that the reason why I needed 3 packs of gelatine is so it makes the liquid mix strong enough to overcome any setting snags that might have been caused by the alcohol.

The only strange thing, that now with knowledge/hindsight, is that Cherimoya flavour isn't really strong enough. We could taste the vodka/alcohol and the gelatine, but the "custard like" taste of the cherimoya flavouring was like an after taste. So when I do some another time, I'll try something that has a much stronger flavour, a whisky, brandy or rum, something like that.

I score it 8 out of 10. Certainly good enough for a bit of drunken stupidity. Probably should have kept them back instead of passing them around before the curry (not enough booze had been consumed at the time).

Oh and the kit makes 25 jelly shots......
