Charcoal in spirit run

Postby Mattyg » Tue Jan 17, 2017 8:19 pm

Hi,

I have 25 litres of neutral that i ran through the t500 at 92% and then diluted down to 30% and added activated charcoal to. i am going to run it through again now and i am wondering if it is important to try to remove all the charcoal from the wash before i run it through, or is it ok if there is a small quantity remaining?

Thanks, Matt

Where to start?

You did not need to add carbon before re-distilling.
You do not need to remove all carbon before doing so,but filtering will do a good enough job,in an ideal world. In this world maybe accept a bigger clean up operation.
You seem to have a mistaken view of what you are trying to achieve, or at least, how to achieve it
Most would consider a double T500 run plenty enough for a neutral. No carbon needed.
With the best intention, can I suggest that you read a little more, on this site or others?
The information is out there.
I can maybe help with a specific problem, but a masterclass is beyond me at this time.
