I am loving the random info. coming in on this thread that I didn't know.
When I feel that I have nailed the rest of spirits, I may revisit this one, for a serious try.
Untill then, please come up with a good version, from experience, not guess work, for Aquavit virgins to try.

Well, I can give you a good recipe (IMO, of course) from experience, but it's for old school airstill, not this newfangled sputnik jazz.

Go for it...stick it in the "recipe" section....like EG I'm a Aquavit virgin and would love to do a small AS lot to try.

Newfangled sputnik jazz.. Love it.
A recipe would be great. I am at the disadvantage of not knowing what it should taste like in the first place.

I've had a basket for a sputnik-like device for a while now, but I've still not gotten around to sticking legs on it. I've got soooo many half-finished things lying around right now.
When I have a moment, I'll work up an akvavit how-to for the recipe section. It's pretty straightforward if you've ever made gin in the airstill.
