How good is your local home brew shop ? :)
Thought it would be interesting to see the responses ...
I popped into mine today too see about having a go with vodka star .. none in as doesn't carry it but will be in early next week
while there grabbed a couple more essences (pretty much full range of essences in stock) ...
got a quote on a t500 for £350 or so (just out of interest) and only paid £120 for my air still the other month !
Got to say for me it's the first hobby where a local shop seems to blow internet purchases out of the water ! lol

Well the one local to me also beat wineworks on price for a T500 (it was even on offer at the time).
Yes, he does only stock the still spirits stuff, so if it's something that hambledon bard do, I have to hit the net.
For general home brew, he has a reasonable range of kit's, equipment, etc.
About 6 out of 10, which would increase if he stocked a better range....
The T500 price you mentioned isn't bad at all. Plus it might seem like a big slab of readies so soon after the air still, but damn, if you compared how long it takes to do a full 25 litres of wash in the small still (about 2.5 hours per 4 litres) as against about 4.5 hours for a full 25 litres of wash, then there's no competition.
Just like the difference in the resulting distillates, airstill about 60% with one run, as opposed to the 93/94% from a T500
It was the best money I ever spent on home brew kit........

Count yourselves lucky
There are 3, yes I said three, HBS shops in all of Ireland
and none of them are anywhere near me. I've been to one of them once, 250Km round trip.
Online is my only option.

At least you will always order what you want, and not some half arsed "it'll do the job/it's the same stuff" nonsense from the sales bod in the HBS.........
You just have to be a bit more organised so you don't run out of stuff when you need it.......
