Monin Syrups

I had a 'Vanilla' coffee the other day from a Mc-Costa-King something outlet and it got me thinking. All they did was add a squirt of Monin syrup.

Hmmm.

You can all see where this is going... so lets cut to the chase.

Irish coffee flavour syrup. 5ml to 50ml Kale base cut @ 30% -really rather yummy. A cross between a sweet whiskey and bailey's without the cream.

And they are not expensive, I reckon thats around 70p per bottle made up !! Happy days.

If anyone has any of the other flavours please report in :-)

PS the ginderbread is breat in coffee, but thats it !!

I have a bottle of the hazelnut in for the Mrs, she likes it in a latte every now and then. I don't have anything I'd consider "neutral" to try it with though, I really need to get my arse in gear & make a column. I did a cornflake whiskey that turned out pretty bland, I put it in the loft to grow old & see if it got any better but I'm sure I could dig some out & test

Also looks like the people at monin may have thought of the idea too! ;D

Looking on Amazon there's virtually every flavour imaginable including several that will keep her in doors happy for a long time, someone point me to the plans for a VM column quick! :D

A quick look on Amazon does show this to possibly be a quick cheat to interesting products.
Anyone trying it please report back..

I was at a caravan site in Penrith over Easter and, they where selling so called "Caramel Vodka" in the shop there, it was only 20% ABV and they where selling it for £25 a litre, £15 for half litre and £10 for a tiny little bottle!!!

They even had testers on the counter, for some reason I didn't bother to test a bit, maybe because there was no way I was going to buy any at that price, it was probably made by adding caramel syrup just like the Mc Costa King stuff.

For those who are interested, this place seems quite cheap compared to Amazon & the likes.

Ni personal experience of this product but it looks very good value if you shop at Ocado, and has 5 star reviews
