Tennessee Fire
Hi everyone Been a while since I have been on here as we moved from my home State of Tasmania (Australia) to my wife's home state of Western Australia so has been quite a few months since I've been able to do any brewing due to selling most of my kit before we moved...... Happy to say we are now settled in in our new digs here in WA and I have just completed my third run of neutral spirit through my new kit and Mangove Jacks SS fermenter
It's nice to be back on here and able to communicate with all of you lovely people once again.
Just a query..... Has anyone tried to do a homebrew version of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire.... I have not been able to find a recipe listed either on here or on any of the the other forums
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks to all in advance
Happy brewing and Cheers

Re: Tennessee Fire
Hi Whimpy64.
Not a recipe but a suggestion.
I took some bran wash and after distilling,
aged on JD chips 10g per 100ml.
Filtered and bottled, it was good.
So had a little play with some honey,
Glycerine and sugar, filtered and rebottled.
The result was a very passable JD Honey
The fire is cinammon and sweet (Sugar),
could be worth a little play.

Use cinnamon stick - the ground stuff is a bugger to get out again.
Be scared of it too - a little goes a long way. I would start with an inch per bottle and taste everyday.

Good advise Mash. You can always add some more
but you cant take it out.

Re: Tennessee Fire
Hi All Well I took Mash's advice and added just under an inch of a cinnamon Stick to some JD that has been bottled for around 6 months and left it for 7 days to mature Gave my step son a half a shot glass as a taste test and he reckons it smells and taste like hot cross buns (warm) lol and as he is a a seasoned JD drinker he told me it's exactly as it should be so I will be doing some more to add to my stash..... Thanks once again to Mash as always you guys on here rock
Cheers and happy brewing
