I've had a ferm fridge for years...we replaced an old fridge we had and that was my cue to build one. I ordered an ATC 800+ Temperature Control Unit from the bay...and it's been a very useful bit of kit.

A few weeks back we replaced the fridge in utility room...so that fridge found it's way into the brew house.. ;D

T'other week I ordered a Digital STC-1000....I've sorted the wiring out and it's all ready to finish...all I need is a project box which I've just ordered off the bay and I'll be up & running ASAP with my 2nd ferm fridge... 8)

Now I'll be able to run 2x25 liter wash's in tadem....makes sense to me.. :D

I don't know if my harris hole is punched, bored or countersunk at the moment... ;D

The post today bought a new 45w Tubular heater for the ferm fridge....I'm running my 5th GS wash....just started another GS wash and that's already in the fridge going like thunder.

On Sat I ordered another 3x7.3 kg of Golden syrup.....I just have to keep making this GS rum, it's so.... ;D ;D

That, that doesn't kill you will make you stronger.
Lots of alcohol ticks many boxes for me. :)

Yesterday I found time to finish the control box for this fridge....wired everything,
checked, double checked...switched it on and it worked. :o

One slight problem, the STC 1000 showed the cool side on on, when I checked the tube heater that was on.. ??? not the fridge....now I've read somewhere in the mists of time on a beer forum that some STC 1000 would do this as it was a manufacturing fault. The answer to this was, you changed the circuits around.

Mrs Ice rang the dinner bell, so willing to comply with an order...sorry request to sit at the table I pulled the plug thinking I'll sort it tomorrow.

At 01.00 this morning..I had an EUREKA moment... :o I'd put the plugs from the fridge & tube heater...yes you're ahead of me...in each others socket....Image

I went out into the outhouse this morning and there it was in all it's glory...plugs in the wrong side...swapped them over...hey presto.

Welcome to the club.
The bleeding obvious often catches me out! :)

Replaced the batteries on my UPS a few weeks ago. Error turned out to be me overloading it. Bugger ::)

I also did exactly the same thing when I wired my st1000 up the first time.

For my next fridge (when the garagare to bar/brew room is complete) I intend to get an ink bird, save me a bit of effort.

I like the look of that...it's neat, saves all the fuss of building one. 8)
