hi all! ive just completed my 3rd run on my t500 and dont understand why it takes me 11 hours to collect 3.6L of 95%. every post ive read it takes everyone only 4-5 hours to run a 25l wash. any advice on what im doing wrong will be appreciated. BTW im running it at about 58 C.

You could let it run a bit warmer and collect faster. There is no guarantee that your thermometers are reading correctly.

There is a trade off between speed and purity though - I guess you are getting a drop a second or there about?? Run it a little hotter and decide what you want

Admiral Toad increased the speed of the output on his by tapping the packing back down the column to open up some space above the coil.

Hi I Had same problem with T500.... Check that you've got yr inlet and outlet hoses the right way round..... admiral suggested this to me and found out this was the problem as well as the finicky column

Whimpy. I assume I have them hookup correctly. Does it matter the long hose is on the intake and shorter hose is outlet? The book and video say two different things.

doesn't mater what length of hose you use, but the water should go into the product condenser, and exit the side of the column where the temp probe housing is.

From the temp that you said you were running at (58) you have the hoses the right way around. Unless your cold water is actually at 58 degrees centigrade !!

thanks for replies guys. the hoses are where they belong for sure. im going to tap my column and run it hotter this week and see how long it takes. sure do hope i fix ths cause 11 hours is a long time to seat in my bathroom.

Better stock up on mens magazines.

all good advice there, I'd give the column a good hard shake to free up any packing blocking the output, failing that run hotter as Mr Cat suggested, if your product is in the right ABV range then the probe is probably off - I'd change the batteries for a start just to rule one other thing out.

okay guys i did a run today with lot better results. i gave the column a good shake to make sure it was not obstructed. i ran it at top temp 78.5 and the bottom temp betwwen 64-65 c the whole time and got 4 L at 93% in 4.5 hours. ill take it!
