100% vodka good for you........... make tinctures

That\'s 100% proof don\'t forget, or 50% ABV!

So 100% vodka is only 50% ABV.....

???
i HAVE 2 BOTTLES OF 80% ABV IS THAT TOO STRONG????.......... Or do you think that will kill the herbs used??????

I actually meant kill the flavour, and the essential oil the vodka extracts...not the plant..

Probably too potant being 80%

Try making both i.e. a batch or bottle that used 50% ABV and another that uses 80%.
In my experience of trying both \"normal\" rum and over proof (Mount Gay 171), the over proof had a vodka like feel to it when it hit the back of the throat, much less of the actual rum taste but that would probably have more to do with less time in a barrel and less added molasses.
so I still say, try both.
