Hi all,

Just thought I would introduce myself, I am new to the site and forums in general.

I have recently bought a t500 and am looking to get the most out of it. I am in the uk and enjoy the hobby, but have so much to learn.

One question I have to start, I know it is illegal to home distill alcohol in the uk, but we are allowed to produce a certain amount of bio fuel. Is there anyway I could say what I am producing is for bio fuel. As far as I understand from the little I have read, if I get alcohol out my still at 94%. It contains 6% impurities mainly water. I would not like to put this amount of water thorough any engine, even if adapted, so I would have to remove the water, is there something you can buy of the shelf to refine the alcohol for biofuel, so we can just have a bit to hand incase we ever get looked at.

I would like to think I would never get looked into, but I am quite a paranoid sort.

Finally looking forward to making cuts and learning about it, when the alcohol is coming out the still at 93 percent I have been eager to try this and have done in small quantities at different points in the run, I have been able to tell differences throughout the run, but I know much more practice and more time is needed to make better cuts, however my question is, what effect will this strength have on my health,, will it cause headaches drinking it at this strength or should it be ok. I have not been taking shots worth, just small tea spoons along the way.

Look forward to your responses.

Thanks

Zeolite is what you want to remove the water: http://www.beutilityfree.com/Fuel/Zeolite

For tasting for cuts, it is best to dilute to below 30% and use hot water. It makes it much easier to taste the off flavours. Nicer on the stomach too! ;D

From the liitle I know, even the big boys appear to be struggling with this one and cannot get anywhere near production rate they get from corn.

Where are you thinking of getting the cellulose from?
