Re: What I Did Today
I spent the best part of the day rebuilding my 'Hot Box' which is used to protect my washes from temp fluctuations and even keep them warm during cold spells.
It took longer than anticipated because I over complicated it
Anyway, I got it done in the end.

Re: What I Did Today
Today I stripped my 3rd Run of Birdwatchers
Tomorrow will be the Spirit Run
After that I will be pondering my next wash for a few days... Rum or Corn hmmm....
I Also have some Strawberries in the freezer so am tempted to make some "Panty Dropper" after my Spirit Run

Re: What I Did Today
Well I am waiting for ups to deliver my t500 today.:-) wash is bubbling away and unfortunately it won't be ready for a few more days. Have one sugar mash going and started my first Tpm yesterday with your help. It started bubbling almost immediately so I am confident it will be good. Forgot to take measurements before I added the yeast so I will have to wait and see. Learning to slow down and take my time. Getting to excited to start first run. I got the fever. Lol

Re: What I Did Today
I got two panel mounted thermometers from a UK supplier and the probes, having being delayed by the New Year celebrations, eventually arrived from China. I have tried them against ice and boiling water and they are spot on.
Unfortunately the instructions for the thermometers said that they are prone to interference from SCR’s and the like. I tried it out and sure enough as soon as I put them within a couple of feet of my power controller the readout changes to a load of hieroglyphics. This is a pity as I wanted to put all the electrics into the same box.
Looks like I will have to mount them in a box on a fly lead and put it in some convenient spot away from the SSR.

Re: What I Did Today
Today I made some Chili in the slow cooker while I worked...yum!
Also started some "Strawberry Panty Dropper" it already has a nice red tinge to it.
Now sipping on some Birdwatchers Vodka-ish while I browse the internet..
YHB, if you have any info on your Weetabix and AllBran recipes i'd be interested. I've struggled to find an equivalent AllBran than the one that is recommended in the USA equivalent recipe, so am a little confused with the quantity needed. ( Would go nicely in the Recipe section on here

Re: What I Did Today
Assembled my t500 that arrived yesterday. (Very excited). Checked my sugar wash and it is progressing nicely, should be ready Friday for the first run. I thought cheese making took a lot of patience. Haha

YHB, if you're having trouble fitting a snubber might help reduce the interference.
