No income and plenty of time, so might as well get the hole for the tank connector done. Anyone know what size hole I need?

They are not standard - do not rush, it is quite hard to make a hole smaller. Wait until you have the connector in your hand and measure it.
If you are desperate to get going and must do something then the company you are buying it from should be able to help you out and give you the actual size of the fitting.

Yippee! I get my backdated pension credit on Wednesday and I have an income from Thursday. So I'm ordering pipe and stuff tonight.

Equipment mania lol have suffered it with a few hobbies.
Ordered about £125 worth but my debit card wouldn't work. I took it as a sign to think it over more.
This morning I picked up a cheapo gas torch to practice with and then maybe make a parrot.
