It is not my job to comment upon your marriage.
But that was quite a fib!

"This old thing. Had it for ages"

A tag line I have read somewhere that really made me smile ...

The only thing I worry about is, when I am gone my wife will sell my brewing equipment for what I told her I paid for it

Holland and Barrett currently have their buy one get one half price deal on, so $4.50 instead of £6 for 2 jars of meridian molasses 740g (56g sugar) or £3 instead of £4 for 2 jars of own brand 454g (55g sugar)

Molasses

https://www.millbryhill.co.uk/equestria ... asses-p376

25 Litres @ 1.6kg/litre = 36 kg or the equivalent of 49 x H&B 740gram jars for £28.35 thats the equivalent of £0.58 / jar or £0.78 / kilo.

43% sugar content (As Sucrose)is what it says on the tin.

Delivery is extra if you live out of the area, but the saving may be worth it.

Snap it up I say, if you use it.
I was in my local Lidl today and 1Kg of white granulated, having hit a summer low of 39p, last week 45p, is now 49p,
It will only go up further in the short term.
The effort with the sugar shack was worth it, even if'n the sugar does get a bit lumpy in a moist Scottish climate!

This one is not floating my boat.

Geterbrewed , have Chateaux whiskey available at £26.60 for a delivery charge of £4.75 opposed to a charge of £6.95.

Bugger,bugger,bugger!
Got this far through my post to discover that the more heavily peated one, stated 30ppm online but 50ppm on the supplied original sack is out of stock!

I still rate this malt and supplier and will wait for it to come back in stock for my next order.

Whether we like it or not, that's a result of the brexit vote. Sugar, like oil, is traded in $US. Hence the 18% or so drop in the $-£ value is gonna do that.

Last time I looked at the price of sugar there hadn't been any appreciable change in price on the international markets......

.The results, using Château Whisky have always been extremely satisfying.

Though my preferred supplier, due to price and carriage, GeterBrewed have been out of stock for some weeks now

Other suppliers, such as Malt Miller are even more expensive, when they have it

For those running low on product..it can be a matter of 'where' can I get it.

It's also linked to the fact they have sorted 'fixed' the oil price.
So what demand for sugar will rise again.... And the price. 8)
