Time to get the winter gear out.
Well i suppose its time to get the winter gear out of storage.
In the winter when fermenting i use aquarium heaters and winter jackets, duvets wrapped round and tied. junior airlocks without caps, i use the connecting sleeves from the little bottlers from my ale brewing days, it slots on the tube of the airlock and a syphon tube fits in snugly, the heater cable is fed through from the underside of lid and pushed through the sleeve and along the syphon tube and into a jar of water with camden tab or something similar it's well below wash level so i dont get suckback when finished,or when trying to unscrew lid,and i always make sure the powersource is above the jar of liquid.just for condensation running on to electrics. Iv'e done this for a long time and i thought i would share, I know everyone has there own way to do things. Its my version of a blow off tube.
