What I Did Today
Re: What I Did Today
Another day, and happier news!
Today I discovered a demi john containing almost 4 litres of my last heavily peated malt whisky that I had somehow managed to "forget about".
Am I a happy bunny or what?
This drink is my "Holy Grail"
I sometimes attempt to value the product that I make.
I reckon my best neutral to be worth around £10 a bottle.
This I value at twice that.
Oh, happy days
Robert.

Nothing to do with distilling.
As my mole trapping season draws to a close, today I caught a pair in a single trap.
They are pairing up early this year.
The male is on the right.
Look away if you may be offended.
Robert.

@Easydrinker; My first thought was the movie "Caddy Shack" from years ago. Somehow I could imagine you in that movie playing the part of Bill Murray.

Hi Guys
Today I have a cunning plan to make some bubble caps from standard pipe fittings that work in the same way as the SD ProCaps for a fraction of the cost!

Wasn't YHB working on something like this a year or so ago..
Before he became busy with his digital Parrot and Modding on Vision Stills?
I just tried to visit that site for the first in a longtime, complete fail to access the forums.
Will try again when time allows.

@RJ & Mash.
It is a sad fact that for three months of the year I actually spend time thinking like a mole, (or at least as I imagine that they think).
It is a difficult time, dark, tunnels, worms, heavy things above causing tunnel collapse, necessitating repair and the expectation of sex for a few times in April, before scuttling back to my own burrows.
Makes my own life seem really good, even on a shitty day
Robert.

Re: What I Did Today
Made some progress with my new "AnavCaps" but had to call it a day as I've got an early start tomorrow.
I've used a 22mm x 35mm fitting, this will be mounted with the 35mm end down on the plate, I've drilled 15 x 4mm holes around the sides, inside it down the middle will be an 8mm tube for reflux return, around the outside of the 8mm tubewill be a 22mm tube with holes above and below the plate to allow vapours though, not got many pics yet just this showing the top part and the first reducer that will be inside it.

I've done some more work, hopefully by next week I'll have some setup in a glass section for some video testing

The heather is a sprouting. and the bees are a buzzin'.
The hares have one more day of being mad.
Life is starting to look glorious for a few months.
