Confused and maybe a little thick
Hellllp....I am looking for an easy corn based wash ive found a couple of sources online for flaked maize..been looking on here for recipes but find them very confusing. Please can someone give me any easy recipe to do in my 28 litre bucket fermenter. Will my t500 strip the flavour or can i use this to get the high percentage spirit that i can then double still in my airstill adding some of the dunder from my first spirit run in a t500.
Or have i just misunderstood every thing ive read
Thanks in advance

I think if you take about half of the rings out of it... flavor will stay in the product...
I never owned one seems like i read that though...

Flaked Maize is a nightmare to work with. It will turn to concrete once in contact with water and the mess of the leftover mash is unreal.
I'm sorry to be so blunt about it but I've tried several ways to mash flaked maize and it's just west of impossible
You could try making a sugar wash and adding a small amount of flaked maize - say one kilo - to try to add some flavour.
I think the only viable way to use maize is if you can get whole dried maize and a grain mill that you can crack the kernels. I'm told kernels with two cracks are best and easy to handle.
I've tried to get whole maize but without success as the entire crop is bought in advance each year for animal fodder.
