Birdwatchers wash

Postby H12rpo » Sun Aug 13, 2017 9:51 pm

I've done 3 kale washes now so just for a change thought I'd try a tomato paste wash. The tomato paste is 47pence in Aldi so half a tube per 25 litres makes it definately the cheapest wash :)

If you weren't being so organic, you could bulk buy DAP and just use a teaspoonful.
That would be cheaper.
I do this, but then spoil the yeasties with a splash of Epsom salts and some lentils or yellow split peas.
They love me for it and work their little socks off.
Win,Win.

I guess the wash basics all cost us something varied according to where we live in the world.

I started off with Birdies many moons ago and quickly learned there are better ways....
Kale was one of them ;D

As Robert's signature says....
I seldom take myself seriously....
