cheap vodka

the wife came in with a suggestion today, our local budget supermarket has vodka at £7 a litre, why not buy that and run it through the essencia filter a few times? then add the flavourings,
I suppose it saves on electricity bills! kev

Depends on what you want and what you want to pay. Personally, I dislike almost all of the flavourings. I don't know what your electricity rates are, but I think you would be saving time at the expense of money, not saving money. You could also re-distill it and do a proper heads removal. That would likely give a better product than just filtering it.
