12 days and STILL bubbling?
Well, I am a happy little excited bunny!
My first wash started to slow down over the weekend, I cleared it yesterday, and I started to distil this evening. I chucked the first 50ml away, then I collected another 700ml which is showing 62%. I am now collecting another 500ml backset, then I will put on another 4 litres of wash and go again. Time for bed after that. I will do two or three more in the morning until all my wash is gone.
Hopefully I will end up with about three litres of good stuff, and a couple of litres of backset to re-distil. Whatever I get out of the backset at around 60% I\'m going to put it in with the good stuff and then distil it all again.
I\'m feeling quite chuffed.
A very good evening Gentlemen,

I\'d suggest that you do all the runs to use up the batch of wash, keep the "good stuff" and the backset/tails separate.
When you "redistill", you should be watering it back down to between 40 and 50% (RO or distilled water). You shouldn\'t need to bin anything that you might consider "foreshots" as you will have already got rid of them earlier.
then if you collect with care you can get quite a bit higher % wise. With the smart still, I tend to work out what I can get from the "redistill" strength wise, and when it drops below a certain level (whatever it seems to be maxing out at that is) I then keep the rest to go back in until I only have 1 final batch of backset, that\'s kept till next time.
Memory says you may get as high as 80% that way.
Oh and if I were you, I\'d get another batch of wash on the go........ you never know when you might need it ;-D
