Thought I'd mention had one bought for my birthday
never used it. Another at X?!s (sorry neally said
the bad word again), so filled both with fresh
from the still Rum. Well 3 weeks aired. Left for 4
weeks in bottles and wow!!
Before you go buying both bottles split on 2nd
filling, so rung up and complained, seems to be
a common problem. they sent me two more ,they
have both split any they no longer stock ???

An expensive one to go wrong, but I'm sure that it was sweet while it worked.
Not knowing how they were/are made, I would surmise that the thinness of the item, or the strength of any jointing as being the fault.
Maybe put a selection of large sized hose worm drive clips around any still working ones.
But what do I know?

Robert.

So now have 4 all split. Don't think there
is a seam. Two pack resin, not air cured
wont be affected by the alcohol.Im gonna
glue the beasties together. :)

If going down the glue it route, try 'bond it HA6'
I swear by it.
Just Google it, the spec. sheet will be an option, read it.
Then buy it cheap as chips.
Dirty great tube of it for about £4
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HA6-SILICONE- ... QEodv7u7vg

You can safely do lots of stuff with this.
It is the material that I use to make gaskets for my stills.

HTH

Haven't even tried mine out yet. Maybe I ought to order some of Robert's glue in preparation!
