Hi Guys just registered have been reading forums on air still washes luckily found this one as a newbie not sure what to do next.....? I have just received new AirStill with all the extras very nice but need help !! So looking at new recipes and not using Turbo yeast I have seen the lentils recipe is this the way to go for very first batch? It`s ok reading about it putting it into practice is another thing and if I am at the wrong posting for this PLEASE point me in the right direction

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new toy.

Don't worry so much - we do not bite. I am sure that you will find your way around quickly enough.

I have not tried the lentil wash myself, but all the reports seem good and it looks like a good wash for a first go.

Let us know how you get on, it all seems strange at first but do not overthink the hobby. It is very straightforward as long as you take it one step at a time and the second time around you will wonder what all the fuss was about.

Sit back put your feet up and let the little yeasties do all the work for you. If you need any help then just say so.

My best advise is to don't sweat it. Make a wash, any wash, run it through your still (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1216). Watch. Learn. Repeat. This is more like gardening than chemistry. Relax. Have a drink.

Don't worry too much about which wash. They all work. The lentil wash is a good one, as is TPW, and some here report good results with Turbos. You just need time, water, sugar, yeast, and something for yeast nutrition. If you have enough time and not too much sugar, you might not even need the nutrition.

Hi and welcome to the forum...like the guys have said relax and chill out...read up on this
POST if you haven't already.. it all becomes clear what you have to do.

As for the lentil wash I've got 25lts out in the cold in the brewery clearing, and another 25 in the bucket in the kitchen.

A BIG thanks to you guys have started Lentil wash all going well as per recipe looked at all posting makes everything easier to comprehend. Next question Chill said TPW is that a wash and where to find it ? You are thinking is this guy stupid or what ? I will sign off as confused.com

Hi everyone .

Great to find this forum . I'm a newbie , just got myself a T500 and waiting for my first wash to finish, and have already found so much good info here already.

I have lived in Ukraine for the last 2 yrs , where every other person makes there own vodka and i got the taste for it. So as soon as i got back i decided i must make my own.
Also because my parents in law will visit a couple of times a year and they drink a ltr a day which would make 4 weeks of visits very expensive , buying from shop.

Looking forward to learning many tips from here and getting great results from my T500, and mabe asking for a little advice now and again . Tim

You will find this a friendly site,the philosophy being the more the merrier.
In the old posts on here you will probably find the answers to any questions you have,the search window top right on your screen is your friend here.
If it doesn't help,then post a question,someone will come along with a response.
