Another use for neutral spirit
Came across this on the net, using Everclear in a spray bottle as deodorant:
http://www.diynatural.com/natural-homemade-deodorant/
Haven't tried it yet as I have no undiluted product so will continue to use bicarb until the next run.
Will report back after trying it.

I've been using this for a couple of decades now. It works. You will sweat, but you won't smell. No need for a spray bottle, you can just pour a couple of teaspoons in your palm and splash/rub it on. You can also use rubbing alcohol (which is what I have been using). I'd prefer ethanol, but the SmartStill does not have a high enough proof output.

Smart still fores may be high enough ABV,but smell bad enough when used as fire/barby lighting fluid, not sure I would like to wear it as my "body aroma".

Too much acetone and other things for me to want to rub it on my body every day. Think of the fruit flies you would attract!

I'll try using heads first, just in case it works as well as using hearts.
I have come across recipes using bicarb, cornflour and vodka. The cornflour helps absorb the sweat but can cause yeast infections with some users so arrowroot is recommended for them.
Didn't take much reading to learn that store bought deodorants are sub par compared to the diy ones. Lots of recipes so bound to be one that suits.

Not sure about bicarb, cornflour and vodka.
The high proof alcohol works by killing off (most of?) the bacteria that cause odour. I have no idea if what is in heads will do the same. Let us know.

Re: Another use for neutral spirit
I forgot about this thread when doing the run so I collected 500ml of fores/heads. (I don't bother with a heads run.)
Sprayed it on yesterday morning, the smell of the fores went in a few minutes and as a deodorant, it lasted all day. The bicarb works for almost 2 days but I find it messy to apply plus there is the occasional drop of powder from my pits.
With the spray bottle I can easily do my back which gets a bit sweaty in the hot weather. I'm not worried about the acetone as it's only till the next run and women have been applying it to their fingers for as long as they've been using nail varnish.
Next run I'll bin the first 200ml and keep the next 300ml as deodorant/cleaning fluid.

Medium soft tap water here so that's what I use to dilute my hearts. Cloudy for a few seconds, then it clears.
