Beware scammer alert.
Please be aware of a scammer on Facebook going by the name of Jonathan Shaw. He’s from Wales and claims to be a master stiller.
He has made pot stills for members of a UK shining group on Facebook which arrived yesterday
He uses tea urn boilers with plastic lids, brass fittings, superglue to hold clips on and
Silicon sealant to hold parts of the columns together.
Boilers have arrived bashed and bent and when people asked for a refund he left the group and blocked people.
If I can work out how to post pictures I will to show just how bad these stills are.
One poor guy paid £500 for a still that looks potentially lethal!

Hiya mate can you tell what his location is?
If he’s from Hengoed .....it’s the same guy who banned me from the group because I questioned his background and his construction techniques and his recipe for gin which was to put all the botanicals in the wash and ferment them! He reckoned that was the way all craft gin is made. Fekin idiot!

Precisely, and this guy claims to be a master stiller who sets up commercial distilleries!
Honestly those stills he sent out look like they could be potentially deadly!

Yeah like I said I called him out on his methods and experience and he blocked me and banned me from the FB group.
I’m betting the poor buyers won’t get their hard earned back off him.

They’re fighting for a refund now, luckily most paid with PayPal so they should get it back eventually.

You have to wonder why someone would part with 500 quid for something that breaks so many rules when you can get a new T500 with some change, or even a Chinese hunk of cak for a couple of hundred quid off ebay would be a safer and more hygienic option. It rubs me up the wrong way to see such a disregard for someone elses safety to make some money.

I just love that dustbin lid on the boiler, genius. Must be much safer than that silly air still
