Has anyone thought about carbon filtering after stripping, the distillate need to be diluted anyway before the spirit run so would running a filtered cleaner strip be beneficial? Or am I bonkers? fire away..

I have been known to air the strip, but would not filter it.
I am only slightly bonkers.

Okay I might be bonkers but... I was thinking sometimes when you can't do any runs for a couple of days, what 'could' be done in that time. Surely the off tastes and smells are from the yeasties/ fermentables, after stripping the only thing added is water

Don't forget the role played by the spirit run... That does the major "taking away" of undesirables, aided by cuts. I am not saying that you have it wrong, having not tried it, but am not convinced.

Yes, if I was to try it I'd still do the spirit run making cuts in the usual way. I suppose one downside would be the volume of liquid to be filtered would be much greater.
