Gaza, your little light sword swathed in latex would have glowed with a far different wave length than a grow light,

Such lights, replicating the rays from actual sunlight, can be used, and I have used, from seed sowing, germination, pricking out, potting on, and final potting up through to flowering.

I have had occasion, in the past to grow plants in this manner over a period of about three months with total success. On harvesting, such plants had never seen actual daylight.

The force was with me.

My sister once rented a property to someone with that knowledge.
They nailed the curtains closed to the walls, raped the electricity meter, and after harvesting the "crop" dissappeared with the equpment used. :o
It wasn't Petunias they were growing.

My curtains are un-nailed and my meter un-raped. I too never grew petunias.
