Well I tried to run a wash tonight and after two hours my boiler wouldn't come on at all, only reached 34 degrees. I'm letting it cool down now will try again in the morning. Is there a breaker that turns the element off or do i have a big problem? I have two washes to run this weekend.

Sorry I do not have a T500 but I know others have had similar problems and discussed it here

Hopefully it will not be anything more than a blown fuse or the thermal cut out switch that needs attention.

Good luck

Reaching 34'C then nothing more is curious.

I did a major messup with mine by forgetting to put the wash in. By the time I realised, it was dead.

Turned the boiler upside down and removed the cover. (Crosshead screws.) Both the reset and the thermal fuse read open circuit. (If you haven't got a meter, any form of continuity tester will do, even diy battery and torch bulb.) Obviously the boiler is unplugged for this.

Simply pressing the reset did nothing, I had to really go for it before it read closed circuit.

I bypassed the thermal fuse as I had a wash to do. DO NOT DO THIS if you are inexperienced with electrics/electronics. As the thermal fuse is not available as a spare part, the boiler needs to be returned to the HBS for repair. I won't be doing that but as soon as I find a suitable thermal fuse I will fit it.

I talked to my dealer he thinks it's the thermal fuse. He lent me his boiler until mine is fixed.
