Recycling Grappa

Postby Legless » Sat Jan 14, 2012 3:26 am

I have inherited about 2 litres of 35% ABV white spirit (grappa?) that I dont want to drink as it is, as I dont know how it was made. I have a T500, so can I ditute it down to say 15% and run it through the T500??? or do I mix it in with another wash??? I do Tomato Paste washes - just put one on to ferment this morning.
Any suggestions will help - even if it is "throw it out!"

Cheers

Well if you know where it came from other than "inherited" and it was likely to have been made for drinking, then you can just chuck it in with the next run you do.

Just take double the heads and bin then or whatever.

After all, if it was made to be drunk, no one is likely to have adulterated it and any higher alcohols will come off first and last.....

If you're worried put it in your car screenwash bottle.....
