I had my wisdom teeth taken out in a provincial hospital in Thailand. I still have PTSD from the experience. "Chisel" is not a word that you ever want to hear a dentist say. I pray that you fare better.

I think I should have "serious lack of judgement" inscribed on my tombstone. ;D

Thankfully I have access to a seriously qualified and creative Dental Consultant even though I have to travel to the UK to see him. This guy introduced me to Conscious Sedation for getting lengthy or serious work done in my mouth. Now I have no recollection of such events. ;D

I'm a complete chicken when it comes to traumatic butchery being carried out on me in the name of dentistry. ::)

Needed 3 doses of local anisthetic (made in China). Molar came out and I developed a cold. About 9:00pm I coughed out the clot and proceeded to bleed copious amounts. Surprised I didn't bleed out.

Then the cold became major body ache. Hips, buttocks, thighs, knees and elbows must have rusted.

The yanks retained the cup. Cant bear the shame. Going back to bed.

Thanks for the kind words.

By sheer chance (I'm sure), I 'taught' my good mate's 14yo son how to arc weld, drive a 4wd off road, cook fried rice for dinner AND washup! Yep, all in a day! ;D
NOW I reckon its time for a drink!!! 8)

Every 14 year old should be so fortunate. He is way ahead of many of his friends.

Not really today,I started last night.but got home and ran second strip through my silly still.Just switched off.Similar results to the first strip, but I didn't fall asleep this time.
A little more alcohol,as the yeast had more time to work while I was away and took the wash to .860
Great Excitement,-tomorrow evening,a proper spirit run.
Along with the new glassware acquired on this last trip, five new fermenting vessels;the first now has contents frothing nicely, the others will occupy my free time this weekend.
Mental note to self, buying 36Kg sugar in local super-market raises eyebrows....

Robert.

What a mouth watering list makes me envious reading it although I think I may have stayed put on the Laphroaig, absolutely love that.

@CC/Optic
I'd have to say the triple wood (prob only because its so 'clever' in terms of complexity) but......
no point picking a fave here really, there's not a sh#t one in the lot, IMHO. ;)

(NB: re the Sullivans Cove: beware Scotland...the Aussies are coming! )

Started filtering a 10 litre "Southern Comfort" maceration.
This one included dried Apricot, apparently an old trick for colouring.
It looks and smells gorgeous.
With great effort I am forcing self to wait till end before tasting.
Life can be so hard.........
