That is much cheaper than anything I have come across so far.

If you feel able, I would like contact details with a view to ordering some.

That does indeed seem like a very good price.
Curious as to the shipping costs.

Robert.

As you know I am in the Republic of Ireland but this is not a prohibitive location. the link is https://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/whole ... 2_233.html

Shipping to UK is not bad, as far as I can see!

I just bought me a sack of this, delivered to me in Scotland for £21.67.
Thank-you AM.
I will not have time to do anything with it until maybe July.
I fancy triple distilling,in honour of it's place of growth.
WHOO,the summer just became a little more exciting!

Thank you AM for the contact information.

I haven't, as yet placed an order, this being at least partially due to a personal lack of experience/knowledge of this variety of Barley. I haven't seen Sebastion on sale before, whilst I have more familiarity with (though not used) the many other varieties they have on sale.

This being so, it is difficult for me to make a like for like price comparison

I would appreciate any advices as to the experience or knowledge of others with this variety of Barley. Does its qualities make it the bargain it appears?

Thanks again for drawing attention to this. Even with carriage charges, the price seems extremely good.

@AidanMac: mate, enjoy, esp. at that price, are you trying something new bychance?
....hohum, I want to make Whisky and I'm in Aus where decent malted grain costs more than twice as much (& where molasses, for those that GAF, is coming out of most cheap places for f'all and often ::)

The current offering is due, I'm told, to a glut of available malt following a lost brewery supply contract at the malting company.

Their loss is our gain.

@Frank: Nothing new just continuing to make Bourbon type whisky and this malt presents an opportunity even though I'm not quite ready to resume all grain brewing just yet.

Are these sacks of grain already crushed? Or have you guys got your own grinders?
