Artisan condenser - worth having?

Hi All,

Has anyone used the copper Artisan condenser on the T500? I have read some info against it from people who didn't actually own one but I wondered if there was anyone here who had actual experience with it?
There is a company here that sell the T500 with it for only $80 NZD extra which I thought sounded cheap?

Cheers,
Damo.

What do you get for your money?

Copper looks nice.

Copper is soft and can easily be damaged or bent.

Copper pipe reduces sulphides, but so does copper saddles.

$80 NZD will go a long way towards a Pot Head for the Stainless T500 to give you a very versatile still.

And yes - I do not have one, but I have built a copper still that after a couple of months has a few dents in it.

Mate, that sounds like a lot of common sense talking! Yes there are copper saddles in the standard unit and it has two thermometers which is probably a plus too. $80 will buy a bunch of nice glass bottles!

Thank you,
Damo.
