Prestige Irish Cream Essence

Hi Guys

I've never been one for using Essences but I always end up buying Irish cream for the misses, so I thought I'd give one a go, I bought the Prestige Irish Cream Essence, it states it make 750ml but I ignored the bottle and experimented a little, here's what I did to get 1 litre

One Irish Cream Essence. £1.09
200gr Sugar. £0.10
300ml single cream. £0.59

Pour the above into a 1 litre jug and start stiring as you top up to 1litre with 40% neutral, the sugar disolves pretty quickly, don't worry about the fresh cream going off, it won't last long! Enjoy responsibly :-)

Can I throw this at you mate?
Bootleg Bailey's.
Dissolve 33g good dark chocolate in Bain Marie wth 1/6th cup of sugar.
Add 1Tsp vanilla extract and 1/8th cup of very strong coffee
Remove from heat and gently whisk in 1/2 Pint of thick cream
Add 3/4 cup of whisky.(A good way to use up any cheap blend).
Bottle and keep in Fridge up to two months.
It won't last that long!..

Hi Easydrinker

Sounds good, I'll give it a go if I've ever got all the bits in.

But when time is of the essence, saving time is in the essence :-)

There's also an Irish Cream recipe in J J Berrys "First Steps in Wine Making" it's one I've always fancied trying but it calls for a few ingredients I don't normally have like gelatin.

If you go on the StillDragon Forum there's a recipe called Punkin's Muck, that one calls for eggs, I have tried this, it's wasn't bad but not a patch on Proper Irish Cream :-)
