Im hooked on vanilla custard using an X9 atomiser.
On a 1300mah battery.
I want a vamo v5 :)

Totally wicked double coil with 3.5ml tank, think the batteries are 1100 maH but not sure and mostly either TW's "patriot" range orange candy and T Juice affrodisiac (strong aniseed).

There's loads of different evaporator kit and flavours out there, along with different strength eliquids but I've never really bothered to suss it all out properly........

Fair play mate. I like the idea of a double coil. Maybe a protank3?
Yeah ive found five quid liquids are much better than the cheapest ones.
Zerovaping has the celtic range which are worth a mention
Been off fags for 6months now by vaping...
Not a bad thing in the shed when distilling lol...
Vanilla ice is a favourite from zerovaping but im loving the custard from other place I mentioned.
Going to try my own mixes next Month as that can be massively cheaper.
Just learning the know how atm

I've been vaping since May, much prefer it to analogues although I absolutely batter it. So much so that I had to drop from 18ml to 11/12ml as the nicotine was doing my head in far far worse than anything I got from chain smoking Golden Virginia. 30ml of liquid lasts me 8 days.

I've tried a few different flavours but settled on menthol as I used to smoke menthol ciggies many years ago and I can handle the taste ok despite my heavy usage.

I have 3 variable voltage batteries, 2 always on charge and they get used at full power. Current machine is an Aspire double coil but they start to discolour the liquid after a week. Unusable after 2 weeks. Not too bad at £2.50 per coil but have yet to try soaking them in strong alcohol.

There is talk of the EU regulating it into being a non industry in 2016. If it happens we will only be able to legally buy a non refillable e-cig with 1ml of liquid.

Its a big world out there for vaping. Superb replacement for fags but gotta get good quality as itll be crap. Liquids and getting the best are important. Cheap is 2-3quid. Good quality is a fiver per bottle.
Makes hell of a difference.
Same with hardware. Cheapy starter kits are ok...better batteries and better tanks....much better experience

Dipped my toe in this new world earlier this evening, and ordered one of these,
http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/e-cig/5 ... anual.html
and some of this,
http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/pg-liqu ... iquid.html
Will give this a whirl, and maybe look to buy better after.
Six years ago I gave up tobacco with the aid of gum NRT,for three years, I then let personal stress, life and shit be an excuse to start again.
Pathetic,I know.
Once again, thanks for the prod, time to do something about dependency.

You won't regret it. Emphysema is a bitch that doesn't go away once you've got it even if you quit tobacco, I think I got out just in time. Be prepared for some dead money while you find out exactly what suits you best. In other words, if you don't take to your first vape and flavour, don't go back to the analogues thinking that vaping isn't for you. Keep experimenting until you find the right vape and flavour for you.

2 weeks into vaping I got an asthma attack. First for over 15 years and my worst in over 40 years. My usual meds had been discontinued 3 years ago (full on speed lol) so I ended up with an inhaler which worked great. Only used it for a week and the asthma went. Since then no breathing problems apart from the lack of lung capacity due to over 40 years of smoking.

Yep well put john.
True words...you will get crap flavours. ...
Vanilla custard or vanilla ice for a starter is my personal suggestion
10-15mg.
Wen it burns throat after a few weeks...lower nicotine level needed...its working !
A tank with decent rebuild coil is a strong plus. The disposable clearos are ok. But lesser experience.
Its a great way to smoke. You can do it indoors and no passive effects for others.
Im ordering my own diy stuff. Itll be loads cheaper. Dont need the expensive nicotine additive anymore as ive come down nicotine levels to virtual zero.
And its enjoyable once you get into it like the fags once were.
Anyone that smokes...please give it a go.
I just got one oneday to try...after a few hours trying it...became a few days...then a week.
Worth a shot for the health and wallet benefits

Easydrinker...
Nice kit you got there bud.
Not sure you will like the cigar. Its an acquired taste.
Ive sampled tobacco flavours and to be honest you dont need a tobacco flavour but each to his own.
What you need is a nicotine content to nail the addiction side of things. All flavours can contain this. The hand to mouth is covered by the way you use a vape so go for a flavour that's bold and pleasant away from tobacco. A fruit or better still an alcohol.
Like absinthe or a cream like baileys.
Only advice from experience. Try and get to a vape shop as you can freely sample every flavor.

Thanks for your comments monkeyb0yuk.
The way I see it,being a veteran cigar and pipe smoker, and lover of the French Gauloise tobacco;I need to start with something that has a similar taste,-I currently hand roll pipe tobacco into cigarette papers,I totally dislike real cigarettes.
I am somewhere beyond nicotine addiction,it's currently more habit and taste...And NRT gum isn't helping this time.
Rhubarb and custard,or whatever can come later, hopefully I'll be weaned off it before the potential e-cig refill ban happens in 2015.
The kit and kaboodle should be here tomorrow,I am looking forward to it.
Appreciate your comeback,
Robert.

@ John51,yes prepared for dead money, going into something new.
Thanks to you too.

A whole 12 hours of use,and already the old smoking accoutrements are in the woodburner.
Not particularly enjoying the taste of the pre-loaded liquid, but it seems to do the job.
Found and ordered a liquid claimed to taste of Gitanes tobacco, now I'm as waggy as a dog with two tails.
Eggs and baskets,I will be ordering another of these virtual throw away sets,I expect parts to fail, and each set costs less than a week of my 'analogue' smoking.
I need time to research other methods/brands of vaping,in the meantime I am happy to invest more cash,in the long run I believe it will save me money, lots, and do not doubt my health will benefit.
There is no-one more boring than a new convert, forgive me!

Don't care what anyone else feels, but it's NOT as satisfying as a real ciggies (using the first smoke of the day scenario) but it ticks enough boxes to be a reasonable replacement that also happens to be much cheaper than tobacco (well the excise duty on it anyway), but also removes most/all the more dangerous components that come with tobacco.......

so I give it my vote (for now anyway).........

Phantom, do you have a variable voltage battery? Mine are set to the maximum 4.8v and first drag of the day makes me cough like a new smoker if I'm not careful. Especially with the double coil. For the first drags I have to suck the vapour into my mouth, not too much, then breathe in but after that I can breathe it straight in like a bong hit but without the bring up a lung cough.

Maybe having an extra vape for the morning drag would help? Load it with a higher strength liquid like 18ml or 24ml and that will fry your head with the nicotine rush. Just a thought.

Easydrinker, I started with a Golden Virginia type flavour but the lack of coughing meant extra heavy usage and it gave me a mouth like I had been chewing baccy. Proper dummy sucker here lol. You can always dilute your Gitanes flavour with something else if it does that to you.

I have a NSFW anecdote about Gitanes I couldn't possible relate on a nice forum like this. Unless of course Jimmy says I can. :)

No, as far as I know my batteries are just the regular rechargeable ones. When they're about to give out, they don't seem to evaporate the liquid so well and I can taste the drop in flavour. If I then double press the button quickly, on the next attempt I get the flashing "I've run out" light. So I just change the battery for a fresh one and back to normal.......

There's some amazing kit out there though, massive batteries, liquid tanks that seem to hold enough juice to refill once a month etc etc, just that I'll keep going as is, for the moment.......
