Visited a long time old friend who used to ferment and brew.
Came away with 9x demi-johns,2x demi-demi johns,and 2x 10 litre pyrex big mouth bottles.
Am I a happy bunny or what?
Some product storage sorted.
Might have to consider a shed now to stow the glassware.
And another mash bin to help fill them.
Damn,this thing grows and grows..................
Robert.

Cricket today. First fine day in several. Will bottle a bunch of Apple Pie and then put another batch together. People are just powering through it. Will have plenty on hand for the dinner (birthday for one guy) afterwards.

Sounds like a good time will be had by all regardless of the final score. Here's hoping the sun shines all day long. ;D

Was very interesting to chat to the distiller for an hour or so. Looking forward to when he releases his malt in a few years (maybe)

I looked in the back forest today and saw an abundance of birch trees, no maples on my property, got me thinking of some special brews for next spring,,
I am going to try a few birch sap beers batches, and run one batch through the still..
Lots of time to gather the supplies for tapping the trees, and find some good recipes...now to make some sugar washes for some apple pie...
All roads lead to rum!!

Totally envious of all the people at home with their stills tonight.
I left a mash which is now a wash, ready to strip and I am away for another 10 days.....
And I can't play with my new toy!
Running out of my product that I brought away and will have to go and buy something containiing alcohol ,@ retail prices,scary...............
Temporary return to the old days.
Life before stilling;was it real? how did it happen?

Decided to make a TPW today, I intended to make just one wash but added to much sugar, as I found out when checking the SG Luckily I have enough
containers and sugar to make 2 washes,, Al is good I wanted to do a DWWG later this week but will have to wait on that,, So there will be extra Apple pie around in a few weeks,,

Hey! E.D.
Relax, Chill, as they say, I know, buying commercial spirits is a nightmare but you will survive, after all it's just for a short while. Don't worry you'll be back with the rest of us in the real world real soon ;)

Cooked up a triple batch of Apple Pie yesterday. Will let it settle a few days before bottling as there is a slight amount of sediment from either the apple juice or the brown sugar. Not a big problem but looks a little better without it.

Keeping up with the demand for Apple Pie is moving into the area classified as work.
