I am to old to safely scramble about rocks and I get sea sick, so it is the inland lochs and fisheries for me. Carp roach perch bream the odd sturgeon and occasionally pike.

I'm not to keen on the pike as thay have sharp teeth and was badly bitten in the past.

I was determined that yesterday wasn’t going to be wasted. After my breakfast report I put some Apricot Brandy Liqueur in the dark cupboard and gave every thing in it a shake.

Then I made up another jar of Apricot Brandy Liqueur and one of Blueberry Vodka Liqueur. The AS was started early and I managed to get 2 runs in, one heart and one stripping.

Her in doors wasn’t at her best so I was left to do the evening meal, made Chicken Jalfrazi Curry for us and 3 extra for the freezer.

Had a few bevy’s and fell asleep on front of the telly.

Still is now on doing a stripping run, which should fill the last of my working DJ’s, so easy week ahead, fat chance.

Today bottled my latest Gin:

For anybody interested, the botanicals used were as follows:

1. 14g Juniper Berries
2. 4g Coriander Seeds
3. 1g Cassia Bark
4. 2g Caraway Seeds
5. 1g Dried Sage
6. 1g Dried Rosemary
7. ,25g Ground Nutmeg
8. 1g Angelica Root
9. .5g Orris Root
10. 1g Dried Bitter Orange
11. 12g Lemon Zest
12. 2g Liquorice Root

2 Litres @ 40% abv + 1 Litre water.. '

Stilling stopped at parrot reading of 60%abv.

There is little going to waste with this method as the actual contents of the Air Still are down to 5%abv by this stage. (Possibly an indication of the efficient separation the Air Still gives.)
