Well it arrived this afternoon, well chuffed. simple to
assemble the parts.Put it through a dry run on boil to
clean any grease or oils in cooler and the pump, and to
check everything was in order before i put it to use.
methinks i'm gonna be busy for a while.

I had a day off, so up early, don't want
to waste the day. Dribbled over Anavrin's
new still. love that Still Dragon stuff,
would like one of those baby crystal
dragons fit on my t500 lid! But dream on
So to cheer myself up, set 3 by 26ltr
Black Treacle rum washes. they were
active within 1 hour.
Spirit run on some neutral Vodka Star
washes. Eough for full charge on T500
&2 runs in the Airstill. Now have, when
I dilute to drinkable strength about
22ltrs. Coming up to midnight timefor
bed said Zeberdee :) :)
Rather have a full bottle in front of me

No icefever just 56 but been a long and
happy day. Off to work now 3 double
lessons,takes a lot of concentration .
On subject of Crystal Dragons .Been
told the 2" fits the T500 boiler, they look
fantastic. As the T500 does a good job
of making neutral, what would the
advantages be ? Does anyone have
or use one ?

I finally did my first ever stripping run using the T500 boiler with copper dome and condenser. Very impressed how quickly it extracts the alcohol. Got another couple of washes to strip (unfortunately they didn't ferment right down but will try running them anyway).

Very pleased to discover that a stripping run is quick enough to run in the evening when I get home from work.

Two more stripping runs then a spirit run with the reflux column.

I love this hobby! :)
