Hello everyone,
So long story short, I accidentally got these yeasts, but since there is not much info on packaging I thought to ask you. If anyone heard about it or tried? I was wondering what is tolerance of these yeasts? And it doesn't look turbo yeasts. Any advises how to get best result using it? Would it be good to use with sugar washes? Or I will need to trial and error method?

I have no experience of this yeast, but from the packaging statements I would expect it to work best producing a finished wash of 7-10%.
You will need to do the math,say no more than 4-5 Kg sugar/25 litres.
Also, it is obviously engineered to optimise the sugars from a food rich all grain brew, I think that you will need to add a little extra nutrient, try chopped sultanas or raisins, or the ubiquitous Kale or Lentil.

I would follow the instruction for dosage. Which will probably be 60g / hl so 15g in 25 litres. Try 4 bags of sugar.
All washes need an ingredient that provides nutrition.

Better: If you have a favorite recipe, just swap the yeast and see what the difference is. One change at a time is a good way to learn.

The way we use yeast make it much less important to the finished product,so full your boots.

I tried anchor yeasts a while ago from a lallemand rep. South African from memory, the wine yeasts were very good. Sensible money to. The lallemand guys do seem to know what they are telling about.

Yours is in a blue packet which is their brewing yeast....they don't give much away thou.

As it says Whisky on the packet use it...but it also says 15KG that's a big bag...so I'd go for 20grams per 23/25 ltrs.

Thanks for replies, so I guess I will do few test bathes on 5 liter demijohns. Funny enough I supposed to get 500g of these yeasts for free just to have a play with. Ended getting this big pack. I guess this will last me for a very very long time now

I would vaccy pack it in smaller lots and lob it in the fridge.

It will keep for years.

Dropped the manufacturer an e mail and there’s no uk supplier. They’ll sell me a 500g pack but by the time you add postage it works out at €58:50 euros for 500g !!!!
So that’s out of the question then
