But that one shows as out of stock and delivery will take more than 3 weeks.

Methinks someone is trying it on. Good luck to them if anyone is mug enough to fall for it.

There is another, slightly more innocent way that items may appear on the bay,at ridiculous prices.
This year,I bought a wash hand basin, from a business seller who had several,at a reasonable "buy it now" price of £25.
It was delivered,perfect,no problem.
When I had cause to check the listing, the "last one" was offered at £999!
I put this down to some bay listing policy: when the seller finds the last one broken or missing, the low cost way out of the contract with the bay,is to massively increase the price, something allowed, knowing it will not sell, and simply wait until the end of the listing period.
At least that is the way that my friends and I on Happy Island, where the sun always shines, and Candy Floss grows on trees like to view things.
Please don't try and spoil it for us with tales of cashing in on dimwits.

Robert.

Put the candy floss down and step into the shade :( .... the listing shows 1 sold 4 available.

Might ask if it will make strong beer or just p*ss - 'cos its seems to be taking it !!

Okay, going back to my basin story, and it was this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291088683542? ... 26_rdc%3D1
there are now more than twelvety available, and to no-tails at that.
It all seemed much easier when it was local, for local people.
Maybe baymen speak with forked tongue?
Pink tinted glasses back on everyone, and let's go pick Candy Floss while whistling The Archers theme tune.
This is unsettling. There appear to be scoundrels out there.

the seller might have done this,as he got no stock (waiting to come from where ever)
and get a few orders and maybe to pay for the last lot of orders
